If you refuse to believe this is just what ’getting older’ feels like. You're right.

You're training. Eating reasonably. Trying to sleep. Grinding through work, family, and everything else. Results still don't match the effort.

That's not a discipline problem. And "your labs are normal" isn't an answer.

A man and his daughter walking on the beach at sunset with a quote overlay: 'One of my reasons for being healthy on purpose. What are yours?'

Sound familiar?

Somewhere between 35 and 45, you realize you can't just grind through it anymore.

Blood pressure that's "a little high." Cholesterol that's "borderline." Energy that tanks by 2pm. Weight that won't move despite doing what used to work. Sleep that doesn't recover you anymore.

It's all slowly adding up. And nobody has sat down with you, looked at the full picture, and told you what's actually driving it.

That's exactly what we're here to figure out.

Health doesn't happen by accident.

The HOP Philosophy

Most folks aren't struggling because they're lazy or undisciplined. They're struggling because life has filled their plates like it's Thanksgiving at Grandma's.

Work, family, sleep debt, and 14 browser tabs about whether seed oils are killing you.

Healthy on Purpose means something specific: figuring out what actually works for your life, your labs, and your goals and building from there. Not a protocol borrowed from a podcast. Not a prescription written because a number crossed a threshold.

Some people ignore everything until something breaks. Some track macros, stack supplements, and chase optimal like it's a tangible finish line.

Neither is the goal here.

The goal is a relaxed grip. Dialed in, not letting go, but not white-knuckled.

About Dr. Mark

I'm a naturopathic doctor licensed in Arizona and Washington, with 8 years of experience in personal training, nutrition coaching, and exercise physiology before that. Husband. Dad to an amazing little girl. Still doing BJJ, still lacing up the skates to see if I can keep up with the kids I used to be.

I'm not watching this from the sidelines. I've got a family to show up for, a practice to run, and a body that requires more intention than it used to. I'm taking this day by day, just like you.

A man with brown curly hair and a mustache, wearing a brown jacket and blue jeans, sitting on a boat on a lake in the woods, smiling and looking down while holding something in his hands. The background shows tall green pine trees and a partly cloudy sky.

"Before working with Mark, I wanted to improve my overall health and energy, but I also wanted confidence that I was on the right track and not just following the latest health trends or guesswork. What I appreciated most was that his approach was rooted in science while still being practical and grounded in common sense. He explained the reasoning behind his recommendations and focused on realistic, sustainable changes that fit into everyday life.

I left with greater confidence that I was making the right choices for my health and with clear, actionable steps I could implement immediately. If you’re looking to improve your health and energy—or simply want to make sure you’re on the right track—I highly recommend meeting with Mark. His evidence-based, practical approach makes it easy to understand what works and how to apply it."

FAQs

How do I work with you?

1

Everything starts with a 20-minute fit call. From there, it's The Baseline: one month, two sessions. We run the intake and labs in Session 1, and results and next steps in Session 2. After that, we keep going at whatever pace makes sense for your life. Right now, there is a 3-month consulting program and a 6-month program.

Who do you work with specifically?

2

I work with men and women in their 30s and 40s who are putting in the effort but not getting the answers they need. The parents and partners who want to be healthy, reliable people in their communities. You don't have to be sick to work with me. You just have to be done accepting "fine" as a diagnosis.

Is Healthy on Purpose right for me?

3

If you're looking for a quick fix or a protocol to follow blindly, probably not. If you want to actually understand what's going on in your body, take time to look in the mirror at your values and trajectory, and build from there, yes.

How do I get started?

4

Book your 20-minute introduction call. No paperwork, no long-term commitment. Just a conversation.

The best way to get started is a conversation.

Twenty minutes to figure out if this makes sense for you.
